Need to turn off the passenger airbag i have kids want to know which fuse is the passenger airbag and is it going to go off when i pull the fuse

Check that fuses 18 and 19 are both good (located in junction block under cover at left end of dash). And check that the ground wire for the airbag system is grounded. It is a wire with an eyelet that attaches to a fastener on the left side of the transmission hump near the airbag controller.

1. Park the car with the steering wheel centered and the wheels straight ahead. 2. Locate and remove the "Airbag" or "SRS" fuse in the passenger side fusebox. There is more than one fuse for the airbag system, so I like to start the car after step 2 to verify the Airbag light in the dash remains lit. My 97 has a place in the dash under the radio to insert your ignition key
where you can turn the passenger side airbag off. If I were you i wouldnt pull the fuse for it because it could tell the computer that there is a problem that could
cause other problems. Just turn it off with your key.

Make sure your air bag light is coming on..Sometimes if the airbag light is burn out on the dash,,it will give you beeps to let you know

If you do not have a switch to disarm the passenger airbag it can not be done by pulling the fuse. If you disconnect anything you run the risk of the air bags deploying on their own. The only other way to turn passenger of is to disconnect the bag all together.

The airbag system in this car is second generation smart airbags, there is no switch, if the weight in the passenger seat is not at least 50 pounds (there is a sensor in the seat cushion) the airbag is switched off to the paassenger seat, but small children should always be in a approved child seat in the back seat anyway.

Hi , if you visit a dealer they will be able to let you know how much it will cost to deactivate the passenger air bag.

There is no factory option to turn it off.

Pull your airbag fuse out (It might be labeled Airbag, or SRS)
This will have your airbag warning light stay on in your dash, until you put the fuse back in.

WARNING : I did NOT tell you that... Don't worry there is no way the air bags can go off just by removing or replacing the fuse, but I'm just covering my bases here. In the event of an accident, I don't want to be the guy that told you to pull the fuse out (this disables both air bags), if you do pull the fuse you are responsible for that action if, god forbid, something happens.
