I have istalled another alternater. This is the third that I have tried yet my batterry is discharging and going flat on 2000 toyota hilux (diesel), checked fuse ok. Have oval connection that fits into back of alternater. There is another wire, I cannot find where it goes. I have put the multi meter on the battery and revved the car up with no change on the multi meter. Have tried two different batteries.
Change or charge the battery and make sure you install the correct alternator capable of supplying the correct amps your car needs otherwise it wont charge correctly/ check your electrical wiring it must be grounded somewhere or the connection is incorrect thats why ur battery drains...
