Mazda Timing Belt Replacement

You did not say which engine you have so I checked the DOHC non turbo 3.0 engine.
Yes it is an interference engine, so yes you could damage the valves when the timing belt breaks and the engine is running.

it is non-interference. But it's a very close fit and if an engine is excessively carboned up that can be enough to cause interference.

sucks to b that car it has to b reset find #1 cylinder and put the piston at the top of it's stroke then set timing n put back together start car

if you have a SOHC engine 92 stealth from California the number will be ;MD153355
SOHC Federal emission ECU number will be ;MD153354 .
DOHC , AWD , Turbo Cali emissions ; MD159965
DOHC , AWD ,Turbo federal emmissions ;MD159966
DOHC non-turbo Calif ;MD159962
DOHC non-turbo fed. ; MD159963

Marking does not matter that much because you always need to reset the timing anyway.

It is just like any distributor timing except that you have to ground the right test connector, otherwise the ECU will vary the timing based on things like temperature, knock, fuel, etc.

Thats a 98 belt routing same engine. 99 wouldnt load

I don't know what you got there, but, the marks are just dots, or little arrows, they have to line up or else. I don't think the cam can go in but one way, all 4 valves opening at once doesn't make sense to me but I'll check it out.
