I assume that the drivers side is working perfectly and only the passanger side has a shorteded erattic sweep . It will be either a loose locking nut on the wiper arm (on spindle) or unusually a faulty crank arm (weld) on the underside of the wiper spindle . Good luck

The intermittent function for the wipers has a variable resistor that controls the timing of the wipers in this mode. Replacement of the wiper switch will resolve this issue. Over time they do become worn, and do not make contact during the entire wiper cycle.

01 Grand Prix. Driver's wiper barely moves, then

The wiper arms are mounted to "splined" shafts. Either the arm or shaft may be stripped. You need to remove the arm and inspect them.

2004 grand prix driver side wind shield wiper going past windshield and now is not in sync with other wiper arm,and still moves past windshield and jams up.

The arm is stripped onto the stud its pressed into which is call a wiper transmission. That part mounts to eack ww blade then to the wiper motor. You need a new transmission and maybe a new wiper are as well

Blower motor goes out every so often? Design flaw connected to the wiper motor???

could be that when it rains or is wet out that water is leaking into your car under the hood under the vent by the windshield wipers on the passenger side and instead of being filtered out its going into the car on the passenger side floor. (check to see if this is wet after a heavy rainfall) and causing a short and rusting it out. this happened with my 2002 grand prix just this year. I got a water resistor for like $3.50 from a local pontiac dealership/parts store and put it in. Its easy to install and it poured out today and my car didnt leak at all.
