How do i change the fuel filter for a 2004 ford taurus?

SECTION 310-01: Fuel Tank and Lines 2004 Taurus/Sable Workshop Manual REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Procedure revision date: 05/25/2004 Fuel Filter — Early Build Vehicles Printable View (105 KB) Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02.

1. Release the fuel pressure. For additional information, refer to Section 310-00.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.

1. Remove the fuel filter.
   1. Push the release buttons and disconnect the fuel tube quick release couplings from the fuel filter.
   1. Loosen the clamp.
   1. Remove the fuel filter.

1. CAUTION: Make sure the fuel tube clicks into place when installing the tube. To make sure that the fuel tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
