Hi,
These have a safety snap bolt locking the ignition in place, to remove them you need to get a dot punch(thin) make a dot punch to one edge of the bolt head.
Then use the dot punch to force the bolt head to loosen, using a hammer of course.
The other way is to drill it and then use an easy out tool which you can get from any good autoparts shop.
Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

there is a small hole located in the ignition barrel you will need to gentle push and hold an Allen key in the hole and rotate the key to the accessories the barrel should be come lose and gentle be pulled out.
please note that if the internal locking mech is not correctly depressed you will not be able to remove the barrel.

How to remove barrel,demonstration

remove the steering lock barrel can only be done with the original key and the ignition in the acc position .this can be done in situ but some motors like VW you have to drill the hole to push the pin in so you need to know where it goes and to get to it you have to remove the steering column

When i use the indicators and turn the wheel back 2 straight the indicators wont turn off

Everything goes through the Turn signal stalk. You may be able to remove the plastic cover from the steering column. Sometimes the Ignition switch will prevent removal of the cover and it must be removed. If you can get enough clearance around the plastic cover you can see the mounting screws for the Turn stalk.

The stalk comes out of a box like shaped unit and has 2 or more female Torx screws. If there is a lot of play where the screws hold the box in place, your moving parts may be skipping over the slot needed to turn off your blinkers. All that may be needed is to tighten the mounting screws so the parts are tightly held together.

If the tab that stops the blinkers is broken off, you will need to replace the tab. If the tab is part of the stalk you will need the entire Turn signal assembly. This is called a MPS multi position switch and can range from $35 to $80.

You may find one cheaper in a Salvage yard, but they are available as aftermarket parts from Auto parts stores.

The ignition switch seized up. how do you remove the tumbler

you will have to split the ignition barrel, using either a hammer and small thin chisel or an old screw driver, if you split both side opposite the barrel will fall out, it will in some cases leave the barrel stalk in the black box (the electrical black plastic box at the other side of the barrel housing) to remove this turn with a screwdriver to either position 1 or position 2, at the front of the barrel housing is a release pin hole which will need a small allen key or pot rivet pushing into it to release the barrel stalk, remove with pliars or with flat blade screw drive, place key in new barrell hold thumb over secure pin holding it into the new barrel, then gently turn key 90 degrees, and offer into barrel housing, ensure the secure pin is at all time still into the barrel, slide the barrel into houseing slowly until you mate up the barrel stalk to the black box, and slide in until you hear the secure pin click into place, turn key back to zere and remove slowly, the new barrel is fitted. should take about an hour from start to finish, if it was not seized no more than 15 min to complete. hope this helps.
