Hi i have a hyundai accent 2005 battery went dead now radio is locked i bought it secondhand it didnt have the code in the book my vin number is kmhcg51cr5u292649

What can your owner's manual for the radio code. if you don't have one you're going to have to call the dealership and have them run the VIN number to get you the code. And then you need to find out what the sequence is to input it

The only way to get that code is from your Hyundai dealership service department. They should be able to look it up, if you stop by and have the VIN number of your car. This is an antitheft system code, and it keeps theives from reselling stolen radios.

do you have any books or documents with the car that it might be on?
if not remove the radio from the dash, and on it will be a serial number, if you let me have that i will supply your code. if your lucky, someone might even have written the code on the radio case

usually on a credit size card in the log book or written down in there somewhere, its a 4 digit code but dont keep trying as the more incorrect codes you enter the radio lock for longer each time until its minutes, hours, weeks.
If you cant find it you have to pay the dealer to re-set it, not cheap, better getting a replacement radio & a dash converter to fit!

Any time battery is disconnected the radio has to have a code reentered. This is a theft prevention issue. You should have gotten the code if you bought the car new, if not call the dealer and he can provide it.

Re key less entry have no idea but could be same issue.
