well to reset a check engine light correctly is repair the problem to clear code and reboot system disconnect battery both terminals pos and neg for 10 min then reconnect them start vehicle if light comes on have scanned for trouble code

The idle air control valve may need to be replaced. Usually they don't throw an engine trouble code.

I would start with the throd body and Mass Air Flow system for build up, do not listen to anyone who tells you that low grade gasoline is ok for you to use, your engine will not perform well on it and will cause a sticky residue on the throd body and MAF sensor. Also it is critical that you keep your truck with a clean air filter and service with oil changes and spark plugs as needed, follow dodge reccomendations, I learned the hard way 1994 Dodge Ram PU 1500 Quad and 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 PU both were the same way, they both had trouble with AC and Radiators as well.

If I were you which I am not, Ide change the catlic converter, it seems like it is pluged solid.

cam sensor codes etc,you should be
working on those issues,not trying to
drive it.

Try replacing the headlight relay to fix headlights.
For the starting issue, is the check engine light on? If yes, please have the truck scanned for trouble codes and report them back to us. Parts stores such as Autozone and Advance offer free scans.

you need to find out what code is in the computer. There are several things that can cause your problem. Auto Zone will scan your computer for free to get the codes out if you can keep it running. Isn't it under warranty?

First check is a look in the fuse box for a blown or loose fuse and also push all relays into their sockets. The check engine light shows that a trouble code is registered in the computer. Rent a scanner, read out any code(s), and pursue to repairs.

This trouble code is Evap Purge System Performance fault. 1) Check for a loose or missing fuel cap. 2) Check for a damaged or missing fuel cap seal. Recheck for other trouble codes. This fault wont cause the stumblering problem. It turns on the MIL lamp to say there leak in the EVAP system.
