It is a tight fit, a few wacks with a hammer should loosen it. Hit on the back side of the flange where the wheel mounts, try to drive it away from the car, after making sure you have removed all the bolts.

My ABS, traction control, and steering assist lights are on in my 2004 pontiac grand prix gt. The rear wheel bearing assembly was just replaced. what would cause this?

Hi, the wheel speed sensor and tone ring are built into the bearing/hub assembly. Make sure the new hub contains an ABS wheel sensor and the cable was properly connected. If it is properly connected, the new hub may be defective.

Is the wheel bearing and hub 1 unit or can u replace just the bearing

Good Evening, these days it is a whole hub assembly and is held in by three bolts after you remove your caliper and rotor and then the nut off of the cv axle, then you can remove your hub assy bolts. One Note be sure to pay attention to the position of your ABS wire if your car has antilock brakes as to put it back in the same position. And keep safety in mind if you do it yourself.

My 02 grand prix GT the rear wheel bearing went out on the passenger rear and I replaced it and I cannot get the ABS and trac light to shut off-any suggestions please?

Its a bad wheel speed sensor. It is built into the hub. If you did not have the problem prior you probably damaged the sensor in the new hub. Unfortunatley that means replacing it again. You need to have someone scan the vehicle while driving it to see if it is in fact that one or another just happen to go out. the scanner must have gm data listing.

Changing rear wheel bearing on a 2003 pontiac grand prix. Can't get it off.

the rear hub and wheel bearing assembly is sealed-for-life and must be replaced as a unit. it is secured to the knuckle w/ 4 bolts. then maneuver it out through the brake caliper bracket.

2001 pontiac grand prix with speedometer intermittently inoperative.

Hello! It sounds as if you have a wheel speed sensor that is failing. The wheel speed sensor calculates the wheel/tire revolutions and sends this information to the speedometer, which then displays that information as MPH/KPH. On 97-06 Grand Prix's this and the ABS sensor are the same module, and in order to replace, you must replace the entire hub assembly. Here is a view of the hub assembly from the back side of the hub/wheel assembly. You may want to inspect the sensor wires for any fraying, loose connections, etc.

2002 pontiac grand prix abs and trac off lights are on. I already had the hub and wheel bearing assembly replaced. Light went off for 3 day and now it is back on again. What else could it be?

has to be scanned with the computer to find out what is cause the abs to shut down and the shut down trac control! could be a defect hub bearing ! if it was off for three day then came back on. sounds like it anyway! do assume it's good because you got it new! good luck

ABS Light is on, and TRAC off Light on. MIDAS

Either someone damaged a sensor for the ABS/TRAC control, or the replacement parts are not compatible with the ABS system.
