I got a 1996 sunfire 4dr with 2.2 and when i go out in the morning to drive ill be going down the street tap the breaks, the rear tires lock-up, and make my rear end bounce in dry condiction, it only does...

first of all I would check the back brakes, the brakes and brake springs may need changed. the rear brakes are stickig and not retracting like they should. there could be a lot of brake dust on rear brakes, check rear brakes.

1996 pontiac sunfire. when i brake the front tire "wobbles" or shakes back and forth then stops and aims to the left pulling the car to the left... any suggestions? i think its he control arm.

your probably right check for your control arm bushing and check for your caliper to make sure is working properly and also for a proper disk brake not glossy and blue (overheating) sign of your caliper is not working properly and sometime a bad balljoint can do some :(back and forth movement to).....lipak!!......

I own a 1997 pontiac sunfire back right tire locking.

It seems that the backing plates are dirty and not allowing the brake shoe to return to it's proper position, rust builds up while not in use and causes the wheel to lock

Brake pedal travels all the way to the floor.pressure builds when you pump the pedal.resivoir full of fluid and no lines are leaking.

Fluid may be bypassing seals inside the master cylinder giving you a low pedal on first application and building up as it continues to be pumped. If drum brakes make sure rear brakes a well adjusted

Front brakes

on the caliper there should be 2 bolts holding it on. loosen one and pull the other out. lift the caliper up or down remove pads open the master cylinder so that you can compres the piston on the caliper. if you dont open the master sylinder cap it will be very tough. replace pads. tighten bolts nice and snug. then with car off pump brakes till tough. make sure you fill the master sylinder up that way no air gets in to it. if you do you gonna have to bleed the brakes. if that happens start at the passenger side rear then driver side rear then passenger front then driver front. please lemme know if you need help or if i helpd at all
