2002 pontiac montana, switched out origional radio for an exact replica, but now is in locked position. I tried holding 1and 3 button etc. nothing happens, stays in LOCKED position

try to do reset procedures.
1. remove positive power cable from battery
2. wait for 5 minutes
3.while waiting for 5 minutes switch on all possible accessory,like ignition,internal lighting,headlights,hazzard,A/C,open all door,step on brake pedals
4. after doing procedure #3 ,switch off all the above mentioned accessories
5.install back the positive power cable to your battery
hopefully this should reset your anit theft system to normal
1. Turn the ignition ON (The radio should display "LOC")
2. Hold down the Radio Presets 2 and 3 buttons for six seconds
3. The radio display changes from LOC to a three-digit number. Write this number down. You now have fifteen seconds to complete the next step.
4. Press the AM/FM button
5. The radio display changes to another three-digit number. Write this number to the right of the first one.
6. You now have a six-digit number, the first three digits are from STEP 03 and the last three digits are form STEP 05
7. Call 1-800-537-5140 (talk to a machine)
8. Press 1 then # (pound). You'll hear "Invalid Code, try again"
9. Press 139010 or 106010 or 206010 or 202107 then # (pound). You will be asked to enter your four or six digit code followed by *
10. Enter the number from STEP 6 then *
11. Listen to the four-digit number and write it down. It will be repeated twice
12. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)
13. Use the MN and HR buttons to enter the code from STEP 11
14. Press the AM/FM button. The radio display changes to "SEC". Your radio is now "un-locked" and usable.

The code goes in exactly how you would set the clock.If the code is correct the radio will unlock. It should be a 4 digit code.If its the 6 digit that is the code that needs to called into to GM for the 4 digit code.
While wipers off in parked position, remove wiper arm and re-position arm to correct stowed position.
Re-tighten any wiper arm attachment nuts/screws etc.
Check wiper attachment arm for damage or cracks at the spigot mount. Replace if damaged.
IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the transmitters you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the transmitter, all previous codes will be erased from the memory. The other transmitters will not be functional until you program the transmitters again. 1. Close all vehicle doors. 2. Insert the key into the ignition. 3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release. 4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession. 5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine). 6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. 8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically. 10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds. 11. Repeat the previous step for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
