My srs light came on and does not go off....changed fuses also

It is for the Airbag supplemental restraint system (SRS.)

You should have it scanned but before that make sure you didn't blow any fuses in fuse panel or box

The only way to turn the light off is to repair the issue in the system. The SRS module runs a self diagnostics every time the key is turned "ON" and will set the light when any setting is not within parameters. You will need to have the car hooked up to a diagnostic machine capable of accessing the SRS functions and determine the issue. Once the problem is repaired the light should go off on the next key cycle.

Airbag Service Reset Tools

Find the fuse panel cover in the foot well on the driver's side of the vehicle. Pull down on it to open it.
Find a yellow connector inside the fuse panel. Pull out this connector. This is the airbag power connector, also called the SRS power connector.
Insert one end of the paperclip into one terminal of the SRS power connector and insert the other end of the paperclip into the other terminal.
Put the key into the ignition and turn on the vehicle, making sure you don't start the engine. The paperclip shorts out the SRS light, thus resetting and turning it off. Plug the SRS power connector back into the fuse panel. Put the cover back on the fuse panel and shut off the vehicle.
Wait a couple of minutes, then turn the engine on. Look on the instrument panel to ensure that the SRS light has turned off. Turn off the engine and remove the keys from the vehicle.

The horn and rear brake lights are on the same fuse. Eventually the horns rust out like on my 1998 CRV. Once I replaced the horns, I could put in a new fuse without it blowing every time I sounded the horn. Problems still remain, namely: the cruise control does not engage and the remote start only starts the engine that runs for two seconds then dies. Still looking for an answer. It's a "Code Alarm" with Codestart dated 11/24/99.

I had the exakt same problem on my s80 T6 -99. A power cable was stuck under the drivers seat making a shortcut and blowing fuse nr 7. The SRS message is reseted by computer.

check fuses, pull codes off of computer. take to dealer

Open the door of both sides (driver and passenger) and look for the panel for the fuses. Remove the panel and you will see the fuse box. The information of the fuses is on the panel.

the problem may be a malfunction with one of the srs sensors ... i would recomend taking the car to a honda dealer to have the srs sensors tested !!!

If you still have the SRS module out then you have disrupted the CAN network if you plug it in and still does not work then pull the neg battery cable for five min to reset the network but wait 2min after pulling the ign key out -
