Have the mechanic recheck his adjustments on the transmission range switch. the shifter shaft goes right throug the switch and it may have been adjusted or replaced when the backup lights were repaired

Hi 2016 Volvo V40 C2 just been serviced at Volvo, after a few days found park assist working intermittently. I had it back to Volvo and they can't find fault. Any ideas, thanks.

Various help here, but as the reversing lights don't work, my guess is an intermittent fault in the shift lever switch.

My 2000 Volvo c70 turbo has a rebuilt trans, engine. Had the car for almost three weeks and now the speedometer shuts off, my odometer reads ---- and red blinking arrow (winter/wet) won't turn off....

You do realize no one ever has to go to a dealer, ever,
even with a new car,you own it,& as you said the dealers
are expensive
What about the couple hundred thousand repair shops that
do the same as a dealer?

Stalling problems with 1994 volvo turbo won't go pass 30 miles.

Sounds like the fuel filter is dirty... When have you replaced it last? Possible that the pump is bad but I would start with the filter.

SRS Light on Dash Illuminated

Sounds like either you did not connect the seat belt restraint wiring when the seats where put back in. This is a common problem. You will need to look under the seat and make sure that there are no loose wiring at all. The SRS is for the seatbelts.

Won't shift into reverse.

I agree. Find a transmission. There is really no easy fix. Sorry.

Turbo does'nt work

How do you know the turbocharger doesn't work? Just because the boost gage doesn't show boost PSI doesn't mean the turbo isn't working. Junkyard or rebuilt turbos aren't cheap but they're less expensive than a new one from a dealer. Don't buy a old turbocharged Volvo they're money pits. They always break down and parts are really expensive (and hard to find on older models) and you have to find a mechanic that specializes in fixing Volvo's.

I HAVE A 1994 850 TURBO THAT WON'T BACK. HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PROB

No, there really isn't. You will need to rebuild or replace the transmission. Really, Volvos are great cars from a safety standpoint, but not always the best from a reliabilty standard. By the time a car is 10 or 12 years old, it is usually better to cut your losses as it will become a money pit.
