My son's speedometer stopped working earlier tonight on his drive home from Virginia....a few hours later the car was riding roughly, and he could see smoke. He stopped at a garage and they said: (1) there is an electrical problem (2) too much oil in the car...??? He just made this 6 hour trip a few weeks ago, and had no problems at all.... After the garage looked at the car, the speedometer starting working again, but apparently the other gauges stopped working.... I am not sure if I gave you enough information, but would like to know if you have any suggestions or ideas as to what should be done before he heads back to college next Monday.
