Try getting your codes read from a parts store like auto zone or pep boys... i am going to bet this sounds like a crank sensor
It appears that this is a common problem with 92 buick regals. If you do not have a service engine light, then you have a leak in the vacuum hoses which I believe go to the fuel pressure regulator and several other places. Once you get this fixed and you have a service engine light, the code will tell you its the crank position sensor( the one behind the pulley). Apparently they fail when they get hot. You can verify by pouring water on it when it fails, and it should start right up. It took me a while to find it.
