What kind of motor oil is best for my 1999 lexus gs 300

A mechanic would check for voltage at the fan relay and the fan motor.

fuel pump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check spark and then check if its getting fuel.

AMSOIL or Mobil 1 synthetic oils. Either one. AMSOIL claims to be the best but...in order to meet the standards "all" manufacturers of synthetic oils have to have the minimum oil content mixture to achieve the quality standards.

SJ or SL or ILSAC 5W-30 is the manufacturers recommended engine oil.

Synthetic oil is better than carbon based oil because it is cleaner,lasts longer,more efficient & wont leave carbon build up like conventional oil. But if you ran regular oil for quite awhile, your engine will have carbon build up. Synthetic oil breaks up the buildup. That is good. Bad thing is sometimes that buildup is keeping you from leaking or burning oil. If you switch to synthetic oil keep an eye on oil consumption. If you start using or leaking it out of gaskets or seals, you will need to get it out & put in regular oil. If not, you can go longer between oil changes & your engine will run more efficiently for a longer period of time.

you have to take off the air intake, and take off the connecting body panel

I have a a 99 gs 300, check engine light is on as well as the vsc light. What is that and needs to be to done to fix it.

in the winter i'd run castrol 5w30 and in the summer cartrol 10w30 or what ever brand you want if its using oil you may want to use a little thicker oil(10w40 or 20w50)

brake fluid needs to be dot3 or higher. recommend toyotya fluid. antifreeze just needs to be same color. oil is 5w30

i would use genuine. cant go wrong good quality!!!

Maybe its time for an oil change :)
