You have to check to see AT the fan if it is getting 12 volts with a multimeter.

If it only works on high, then it's your blower motor resistor that is bad.

If it does not work at all in any speed setting then it may be the blower motor itself OR the switch or relay.

Check them all one at a time for 12volts then it will tell you which one is at fault.

Ok I have replaced the therm, coolant temp sensor and replaced the 40amp fuse the keeps blowing, causing coolant fans to not work, causing overheatin. It does fine, fans work and no overheating until I turn on...

If the A/C is on the same circuit as the coolant fans, then the A/C motor is going bad and drawing too much current. A local shop should be able to test the motor for a small fee, or, if you know how to use a multimeter, you can check the motor's resistance for shorts. You'll need to know the original motor specs before testing; the motor model #, maker, etc., should be somewhere online, or available from the maker.

1999 Buick Le Sabre Custom, My heat, and defrost work fine, but my car won't cool when I turn on the AC. My air conditioning is charged and the blowers work fine but why wont they blow cold air?

The first I would do is check if the a/c compressor is working. Start vehicle then turn a/c on in vehicle full power and then off/on a couple of times if you hear a click when turned on then compressor is working properly. If this is the case then you need freon. If not turning on,first check fuses, for location refer to owners manual,if not fuse then compressor needs to be checked which then you will need service manual purchase at local autoparts store.

Air conditioner not working. Fan not blowing.. running fine and then just stopped. What ta think

Have your fan checked out, because without the fan the compressor will overheat, and so will the condensor. This will prevent cool air from blowing.

Air conditioner wont turn on

It might be the fuse for the AC compressor. Check to make sure the blower motor/fan is working by putting it on heat, or vent and adjusting the level from low to high (not temperature). Fan speed. Hope this gets you started.

1998 Crown Victoria air conditioner

Fuse 9, 50A under hood, Fuse 5 15A Instrument panel. If they're ok, make sure the compressor clutch can be turned by hand (engine off, obviously). If not replace the compressor. Most common problem is the cycle switch. That should be the electrical connector on top of the accumulator. Just jump that by backprobing the connector on both sides with a pinand connect them, with the car on and a/c on if the compressor clutch engages, replace the switch. If it doesn't, try wiggling wire harness and watch it, if it engages, find a broken wire and repair it.

My Honda Civic was broken into now air wont work

Check to make sure that all of the wires that come from the a/c on/off switch are plugged in and check your fuse panel too.

2001 Hyundai Sonata 4cyl. Air conditioner worked irratically. Serpentine belt broke and was replaced. A/C started working again, then began only blowing cool air at higher speeds. Now does not blow cool...

Check the AC magnetic clutch relay, it may be sticking open. Bypass it (located under the hood) and see if the system cools down, if not you have other problems.

AIR DOES NOT WORK DO I JUST NEED FREEON

If the air conditioner blow warm air,

1. Open the hood and check the fan belt first, sometime the fan belt broke caused the compressor stop to work, if the fan belt is good, check the compressor see if the center part turns, if turns, that means the compressor is o.k.

2. If both work fine, check the air conditioner small window see if there is bubble, if you see some bubbles in the small round window, that’s means your air conditioner lack
R-22 Freon.

3. before you fill up the Freon, check the leaking, if leaks, fix it and then fill up the Freon, the best way is to ask some professional auto air conditioner repair shop to help you.

Hope this can help you.
