Fuel Filter replacement on Ford 2000 Excursion - V10

Can you help me with the replacement of my fuel filter on my 2000 Ford Excursion?
1. Best way to relieve fuel pressure? (Start truck, remove fuel pump fuse [how do I identify the correct fuse], then run the truck until it dies??) Open fuel filler door to help dissipate the pressure.
2. Should I buy a removal tool to make the job easier?
3. Any other help would be greatly appreciated. Any websites that discuss this (or show pictures). I've tried Ford Forum but no luck.
I just want to do more of my own routine maintenance and am looking for books, manuals, websites that can help.
Thanks...bk

How to change fuel filter 2000 excursion

Yes it is the tool for fuel lines and ac lines. Your local autoparts store should have them, they are universal. You need to use the small end for the fuel filter.

Not able to get it to start.

There is a fuel pump cutoff under the glove box on the exterior side, make sure it is not tripped and the fuel is being pumped. Two things you must have for a combustion engine is fire and fuel. I just installed a new V10 myself in my excursion and it runs great.
