95 dodge Neon. Crank but wont start. I Changed the coil pack and the car started right up. 3 days later I started the car and shut it off, started and shut off, and then the car would not start again. It will crank but wont start again. I am having the same symptom however I do have spark. What could this be? I smell fuel as well.

Had same problem. neons are bad for the gas filler tube rusting out. there has to be pressure in the tank for the car to run.check and see if yours is rusted out or hole in it somewhere.

Another possibility is a weak fuel pump. had same problem, i could open the intake hose and spray starting fluid and it would start, but stall as soon as the fluid burned up. try pulling the injector rail (its easy) and crank the engine. if fuel comes out in a steady stream instead of a "mist", then it wont burn and floods the engine.

I have a 2005 dodge neon that will crank but wont start. I have replaced the cam shaft sensor, crank sensor and the coil pack. Iam also not getting spark to the coil pack. Any suggestions?

Primary voltage to several systems, including the ignition coil, dark green wire with orange tracer. That voltage comes from asd relay. There is a fuse for asd relay. To check for voltage the engine has to cranking. The control side of asd relay, the computer has to ground it before it will energize. Did you check wiring circuits for cam and crank sensor connectors before replacing sensors? Are there any applicable trouble codes?

97 neon cranks won't start changed crank cam sensors also the coil pack still no fire to plugs

Possible ASD relay? This is an auto shut down feature for many dodges and can cause a lot of problems. Ensure all fuses are good as well. Just swap a relay from another position into the ASD spot. Use a relay that is not used to start the vehicle.

Engine turns but wont start

Take your foot off the throttle. Holding the throttle while cranking the engine will prevent the car from starting. The car does not need to be "primed" to start. Other than that, check the coil pack by removing any spark plug wire and placing it on the nearby metal surface. Have someone crank the engine. DO NOT TOUCH THE WIRE ON THE LONG END!!! You will get a nasty shock!! If your coil pack is okay, you should be hearing a "pop-pop-pop!" and seeing a white spark coming from the wire and hitting the engine. I will give you more info later.

Check to see if you have pulled on the crankshaft sensor and it has come away at the plug. And do the same at the coil pack.

Chrysler neon

This sounds like a ignition module problem or maybe the crank sensor.
