Engine operating temp

Does the vehicle reach normal operating temp? On a warmed up engine what is engine temp in degrees F? Are the heater hoses hot? You have good coolant flow through the heater core? Could be problem with temp door, under the dash?
What is year--make--model?

If engine light comes on you have a code in the computer. Go to AutoZone or similar as soon as possible after light comes on and get it scanned. This will give you a idea what is wrong. I think it will be a faulty ECT sensor (engine coolant temp). How do you know that coolant is only at normal operation temp?

normal temperature is around 90 degrees c. Depending on the radiator size and operating conditions it may go to 95 degrees c

Remove panel slide forwardd look for any loose connectors or pinched ribbon cables. Use electronic spray cleaner on any connectors that appear loose the reseat to circuit board

By "normal operating temperature", are you referring to the engine temp or the cabin temp? If cabin temp, the defrost selection also engages your air conditioning system which lowers the temperature and the humidity of the air blown through your heating ducts. Although, you should not have to wait 40 minutes for warm air to flow. Check your engine's coolant level to ensure that it's filled properly, and be certain that the temperature control selector is set to the warmest level possible. There are other possible malfunctions that could account for this condition, but we'll leave that alone for the present. Now, if you're talking about the engine's normal operating temperature, please disregard what I have said so far and reply back.

95 - 110 is perfectly normal.

the electric cooling fan for the radiator will not turn on when the engine reaches normal operating temp, its only supposed to come on if the engine temp goes over the normal temp. (around 220 degrees)
it is normal for the fan to come on any time the a/c or defroster is turned on.

Your temp ranges from what to what? Some fluctuation is normal during operation because the thermostat is constantly moving to regulate temp, as does the electric fan. Providing changes are not large, and engine is not overheating, or low on coolant, everything is probably normal.

generally it's in the range of 200 -220 degrees F same as the transmission. it can run upto 240 before it startes to brakedown.please rate this

195 seems to be a good operating temp.
