Pull the bonnet seal from around the bulk head, remove the plenum chamber cover, for easier access, remove both wipers and pull the trim under the wipers carefully away from the car, start from the edge and work your way alongVERY CAREFULLY, they snap really easy, once this is out of the way you have access to the battery clamps and easy removal.

It jumps like any other car. Pos. good battery...Pos. bad battery...Neg. bad battery...Neg. good battery. Then do reverse after it starts. Let old battery charge from new battery with car running if it needs more power to crank over.

Dim headlights on a 2005 passat tdi - had them replaced, battery is fully charged, any ideas?

bad ground wire, try using a jumper from bat. ground to the body, that might change the light density if it does then you can track down the ground for the lights or just add another one.many times its easier too route new parts then removing and rerouting new ones. your call.

If this is the light on the right side fender, you should be able to pop off the lens to replace the bulb. Use a screwdriver but be careful to not scratch the paint.
