I have a 1995 gran prix with 187000mi. My problem is a no power issue. It was stalling on me yesterday at stoplights and signs but would stay running if I drove 2 footed and kept giving it gas. Now today it ran fine got gas, parked it and it has no power. We got a jump box and it started right up. after having it run for 15 minutes I turned it off and it has the same no power issue.

When replacing an engine, the possibilities are endless. One unhooked wire somewhere could make the difference. But besides that, here are a couple things to consider:Your catalytic convertor could be all clogged up and fouling out he system with too much back pressure. Also check your amperage readings because if your alternator is shot, you're running off straight battery power, which doesn't get you far.
You most likely have a bad fuel pump resistor, which controls 2 speeds of the fuel pump.
To check to see if this is the problem, there is a trick you can do and its very easy to do. Go to the attached link, and bend the tab my finger is pointing at and then plug it back in. If your car starts and runs fine, well we just solved the problem.
