I have a Toyota previa 97, and the battery drains completly overnight. I need a wiring diagram, help. if a connect connector 1 or 4 the battery drains, but if i connect connector 2 or 3 it does not drain. (connectors of the car's computer) I did this test connecting only one of the 4 plugs at a time.
Re: I have a Toyota previa 97, and the battery drains...
Ok you have to do the next test with a test light disconnect
the positive battery cable connects the jaws of the test light on the
battery cable and the tip of the test light to battery positive light
should turn off the fuse and fuse when the light turns off the
circuit that is where you cut that way if I can help to saver exactly
where the problem lies. Thanks

The black wire will be connected to the body or engine of the van and the red or positive wire is connected to your starter motor. You can also use a 12 volt battery light to check the negative or positive wires. You take the 12 volt battery light and place the negative black wire clip to an earth on the vehicle, then when you touch the tip of the 12 volt battery light onto a positive wire the light will light up. Then you will know which wires are negative or positive sometimes the key has to be on for some wires to work. Cheers
Your battery is in need of charge, or there is a bad connection (corrosion) at the terminals. Try to jump start, check connections. If you still can't start it, bring the battery to a store for a free check of it's condition. Let me know if this does not solve the problem.
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
If equipped with 4WD, remove the front drive shaft.
Remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.
Disconnect the starter connector.
Remove the bolt holding the starter stay to the upper stiffener plate.
If equipped with 2WD, remove the starter by removing the nut and three bolts.
If equipped with 4WD, remove the starter by removing the nut, four bolts, and the center bracket.
To install:
If equipped with 4WD, install the starter, the center support bracket, nut, and the four bolts.
If equipped with 2WD, install the starter, nut and three bolts.
Install the bolt to hold the starter stay to the upper stiffener plate. Tighten the bolt to 43 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
Install the starter connector.
Connect the starter wire with the nut. Tighten the nut to 78 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
If equipped with 4WD, install the front drive shaft.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Good luck and this should take about 2 1/5 hours from start to finish and if you like, use lock tight medium strength to make sure the bolts don't go lose on you.
The connector would be located under the steering wheel in the mess of wireing under there, it should be cleary labeled and the only main harness not plugged in.
