Probably every 60,000 miles-IF you can find one for it now.

1999 Daihatsu Terios. Where can I buy a cam shaft position sensor for my daihatsu terios 1999 model.

Question partially edited for clarity.

If you put 'year make model' in the correct order and spell camshaft as one word, it appears there are lots available. :>D

Are you confusing Camshafts and Crankshafts as you say " there is none listed anywhere that comes even close to the one that I need"?

When is the timing chain of a 2007 1.5 4x4 daihatsu terios changed?

Timing chains do not need changed until they break or get so loose that they jump a tooth on the chain. But if you have a timing belt instead of a timing chain, it does need to be changed before it breaks. Replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles. Severe engine damage will occur if you do not replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles.

Replacing a daihatsu terios timing belt

the procedure of aligning all the timing marks before removing the belt will be the same . The necessity of not moving crank and cams without the belt being connected is still relevant. How ever there are some differences as to tensioning the belt and timing balance shafts . The biggest killer of rubber belts is oil so the oil seals (Cams shaft/ crank shaft should be also replaced and hydraulic tensioner if you have one). Idler pulleys do as much work as the belt so replacing them to replace the bearings is also a good move. . To come up to speed as to the differences a workshop manual for your vehicle is strongly recommended.

1992 1.3 ltr charade.how many kms between timing belt changes

Most common is 100,000km's for timing belts. Timing chains can be between 500,000 - 1,000,000km's ( change when they start getting noisy lol) If your charade is turbo'd then I'd say between 50,000 - 80,000 to be/stay safe, if not then 100,000km's is fine :-)

Daihatsu charade 92

you cant fix the belt, but can replace it. there are 2 belts on my charade 88. one is for engine and the other is for air-condition. Start your car and check which one belongs to engine and which one to air-condition. if you find the correct one, take a road. put it on the belt and move the belt. you can remove it easily. in the same manner you can place the new belt. But take care of your hands.

1999 Daihatsu Sirion

Your engine is probably an EJ-DE twin cam 12 valve.

Generally Daihatsu belts have marks on them that line up with dimples on the sprockets for the intial phasing. You rotate the engine to top dead centre on No1 piston and install the belt from there. The cams should be not be putting any pressure on the intake and exhaust valves of No1 when phased correctly.
