Check the clutch fluid level. if its empty, you have a leak, and you have air in the system. if there is no leak, and the fluid level is full, the problem lies in either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

99 chevy cavalier clutch pedal to the floor has no pressure or clutch

Hi Tim:
Hydraulic clutch?
Check fluid level. If low, look for leak.
Pedal to the floor, no leaks will be a failed master cylinder.

Clutch pedal straight to floor

If you put the trans in neutral and depress the clutch pedal it should still start.
The clutch is hydraulic, so there should be something connecting the pedal to the master cyl and the slave cyl to the clutch disk.

Clutch pedal broke and went to floor

i think you will find the hydraulic system failed, losing fluid. you need a new master or slave cylinder or both on a car that age. not an owner repair unless the owner is a mechanic.
