On this car that stands for the varible valve timming unit solenoid has failed now it can be a few things the timming is off or the varible timming hub is bad this is ussally do to sludge, but 90% of the time it is the varible valve timming unit. This is located directlly behind the timming belt. Take off the top cover overtop the engine that has the torx t30 bolts holding it on check the wiring and then replace the variable timming solendiod if the wires are ok.

any major brand is ok (Pennsoil, Quaker state etc.), use 10W-30W
