My roommate and I were recently in an auto accident. The driver of the other vehicle was found 100% liable. My roommates car is totaled. The adjuster has met for dealing with the car, etc, but we still have yet to meet for the personal (medical, etc). We've already turned the bills into him... and when she asked him about a payment for inconvenience (lost wages, car rental, etc) -- he told her that all they are required to pay is for the car, and medical expense. However, we have both been simply passengers in wrecks before where the other driver was liable, and we BOTH had received around $1,000 alone just for ''inconvenience'' and ''loss of work wages''... 1) Is that 100 percent true, that they don't have to pay this? and 2) If so, why have we, and everyone else we have asked always received payment for inconvenience, and we are not? Is there something we should say or do to get this?
(Sorry for posting this under the type of car we were in, but I know some of you car enthusiast and guru's will know this!)
You can hire a car accident lawyer, as it will help you to get the compensation and the lawyer will perfectly guide you on what kind of documents will be needed in the case. Finding the best car accident lawyer can be daunting task especially if you do not know what to look for We cover all the areas and information that you should be aware of so you...
I am not an liability expert by no means, but I think a lawyer can make them pay,you will have to hire one to get your funds needed, and your auto insurer should be investigating this.

the insurance money belongs to lender, not you. there is a a difference between what a vehicle is auctioned for and the balance which you are responsible for. You could have bought gap insurance that would of taken care of it.
What would you like to know Pamela ? Your best bet is to take it to a ASE certified repair facility or the dealer !~ Given the fact of all the electronics on your vehicle . It takes very sophisticated an expensive test equipment to test your vehicle . With the engine light being on DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are present in the PCM/ECM - engine computer . That would be the place to start !
Hi Alvaro:
Since there is no question, all I can do is offer advice.
1) Report the accident to the police.
2) Report the accident to your insurance agent.
3) Trust what your insuranc agent tells you.
Good luck, Hope no-one was injured.

You obviously didn't change the tires that wre out of round so the dealer could trouble shoot the problem. You obviously didn't chase the tire company and you obviosly didn't harass the warranty people so why would you think that a forum that offers advice or opinions would be held liable in the event of you having an accident from a situation that we had no control over?
Your brief statement clearly indicates that you did not do your due diligence and therefore any law suit would find you 100% liable.
So the shop doesnt know whats wrong, but says its not related to the accident. They dont know squat. Contact your Insurance company and explain what is wrong. All these problems happened after the accident. Insist that they have the DEALER check it out and repair it. They are obligated to repair the car like it was before the accident.. Sounds like a ground issue.
