check the resistor on the left fender back near the master cyl and see if its burned out. Also, you don't have to be loosing pressure from the pump, could be from the injectors as well. If you don't hear the pump right away when you turn the key, check the pump relay in the power distribution center...it may be balky. This is one of those problems that really need a gauge test on line to see what is going on...guessing is hit or miss! Hope something here helped.
If the gauge failed immediately after the pump repair it is a good assumption you had affected the fuel tank sending unit. It would appear the float is stuck @ 3/4 tank. From my vantage point I expect you'll need to get back in to the tank to correct.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
clean the carb or throttle body with carb cleaner and make sure that the butterfly valve inside is moving properly.check all the spark plugs, cap rotor and lead wires to make sure all cylinders are working.
replace the crankshaft poisition sensor at the bell housing on drivers side, must be done from under the truck, very hard to see and even harder to replace, but that will be the problem..
The thing to do now is a fuel pressure test pump could be weak just a few pounds under the recamended pressure will do that weather its mechanical or electrical . Is there a filter in the carb. wear fuel fine hooks? If none of this is an issue at least you can eliminate fuel deliverly as the problem.
