I have replaced many injector driver modules on these diesels. GM has redesigned it and i have never had a replacement one fail. This is a known problem for the 6.5 diesel. Unfortunately its about a 500 dollar part from the dealer, and requires intake removal, and some very tight work space to replace.

Cheepest thing is the fuel filter replace it if it has very many miles on it next test fuel rail pressure with a tester from renting from one of the auto parts stores. turn key on with gage connected and see what the pressure reading is then turn key off does the pressure hold for 60 seconds? if yes then pump is good if not pump is defective. If it has two tanks check switching valve to see oif it issticking open

I have a 95 Buick Century 3.1, I start it cold It idles like it always has, but after a minute it idles down to almost dying sputter, then revs high, then back to normal idle, and runs fine after that

What causes an engine to stall at idle?
If the engine stalls while idling or driving, the engine may be running out of fuel or not receiving enough fuel pressure to keep it running. The most likely cause of this kind of stalling would be a fuel pump that is not spinning fast enough or is intermittently cutting out.

1995 Ford F-250 diesel idles fine, loses power when driving more than 5 minutes. Blinking fuel filter light goes steady.

Did you ever change the fuel pump? most of the time when fuel pump is weak does that on hills, and then is hard to restart

I have a 93 chevy 4.3L. I have good battery, new plugs, wires, distributer, fuel pump and altenator. it starts fine. when driving at 30mph and holding peddle where its at it starts to stall. if i give it...

could be the TPS throttle positioning sensor. Could be a bad coil as well. Do you have good power at acceleration? Does it idle along after 30 well?

My 1999 chevy silverado is cutting out and dying. i've changed the fuel filter, it ran fine about four miles then stalled and won't start.it will start and idle then seems to run out of gas.

Wouldn't happen to be a diesel, would it? If so, do a search on ebay for a remote fsd/pmd module. Fixed my 95 'rado (in less than 20 minutes) with a 6.5 turbo diesel -it would stall wherever and whenever it wanted, without warning.

2002 Chevy Tahoe sputters and stalls out while driving.....

Fuel filter. Timing/timing chain. Idle air control valve. Idle sensor. Vacuum leak. Probably one of the above, but the filter is cheapest place to start. Change your air filter too, if you haven't for a while.

1995 tahoe desiel stalls when driving

I used to live on a farm where we had a number of Chevy diesel's in the 90-98 year range. The 6.2 and 6.5L diesel's in those trucks were known to have problems. A very common problem was with the fuel injection pump going bad, causing the engine to intermittently stall for apparently no reason during driving.
