One suggestion:
Speed sensor failure.
Info:
Some of the classic symptoms, stalling at dead stops. failure to auto lock doors. poor fuel economy. Failure to go to overdrive.
Recommendation:
Go to your local parts store and run the failure codes.
Shop notes:
Your ECU thinks that the engine is running with out moving, During slow down the engine steps down the idle to match ground speed and as a result the engine will not stall. At present it goes directly to idle and stalls due to drag on motor.
Hope this tip helps.

You have provided a great deal more information on your second response that we needed.
INFO:
We no-longer believe the speed sensor is the issue due to the lack of a code being present in the PROM and speed sensor related items are functioning..
A 2001 should have about 100k.
RECOMENDATION:
Conduct a Fuel pressure test.
Suspect possible fuel pump failure.
Replace fuel pump. After running this vehicle and it is gently idling have a lesson to the fuel tank. Is it a very constant humm or is it very loud and not smooth?
Hope this tip get us closer to a solution for you.

Thanks David...
This Concorde only stalls when slowing to turn or stop. The auto door lock are working correctly. The car is getting about 24 miles per gallon of fuel and goes into overdrive without a problem.
There are no error codes being produced and the stalling is very random. It does not stall evertime you slow to turn or stop. It seems that after the car is driven for 15-20 minutes and slows to turn or stop it will stall. Usually it will crank back up immediately but sometimes you have to turn it over 2 or 3 times.
Does this description still match a possible faulty speed sensor?
