We own one of these and had this problem. The problem with ours was that the distributor itself was bad. We got another distributor and put it on and it is still running fine. We got ours on eBay but all the major parts stores carry them. You might also get one from a junkyard. The switch is easy. Remove the distributor cap. Unplug any wires that plug into the distributor body. Mark the position of the old distributor on the mount and take it off. Bolt the new one on, line up your mark, plug in the wires and replace the cap. It will start if the distributor is the problem. You should have the timing checked as soon as you can. It is a common failure with these cars so even though they are not cheap that's where I'd start. The coil is also a possibility and we mistakenly replaced it first. If the car still won't run that is the next step.
