2002 Hyundai Santa Fe won't shift out of park

If holding the brake on does not release the shift interlock, you may have a bad brake switch or shift interlock solenoid. If you can get access to the shift solenoid (usually at the base of the shifter) you can just tie it in the off position if needed.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is 4X2 or 4X4????? Please.

Hello! the 2002 Santa Fe has optional All Wheel Drive (AWD)...Which is permanent (can not be turned off)...If the option is not on your vehicle then it is Front Wheel Drive (FWD) only...The VIN # will tell you if the option is on your vehicle...

Transmission problems

might be your shift sensors. trans shop will charge you $50.00 to run a test. if its simple you can do it your self. but if its major let them do it. your insurance should cover this.
