This information DOES NOT apply to any other blower motor ...
You need to replace the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located under the glove box. You can watch the repair on Youtubeon an 06 which is the same as your model and year.
Doesn't have a resistor. It has a blower motor control processor. When they go bad, the blower motor defaults to always on (go figure that logic). Pull the AUX blower motor fuse until you can get a replacement. The processor is located back by the rear blower motor. Blower motor wont shut off Ricks Free Auto Repair Advice
if blower is working there might be a vacuum problem which is used to control doors to direct air under dash. if it is fully electronic blending doors can be stuck closed. If no sound from blower motor there are two options. A resistor which is to adjust speed is burned and or motor itself is burnt or shorted. etiherway you need to check one by one. 1 check fuse for blower motor in fusebox. 2 for motor itself with external 12 volts power source if it turns proceed. 3 visual inspection of blower resistor. check this with your parts dealer. you can see the burned surface color of resistor 4 vacuum lines if any on your car, lastly 5 control panel of blower motor.
If the blower runs on the highest speed setting, a stepped resistor has failed that allows for the different speeds.
If it won't run at all and the fuse for that circuit is OK, then either the blower motor, the switch, or a relay servicing it has failed.
I had the same thing on my 2004 Envoy and it was the blower motor resistor. Dealership wanted $240 to replace and I did it in 20 minutes for about $50. Bought the part at NAPA. I found out by searching on Google how to replace it. Hope this helps.
where is the blower motor located, are there any diagrams?
