I have a 1996 Ford explorer 6 cyl. When I get to 45-50 mph it starts to shake really bad, you have to let off the gas for it to stop and then step on the gas to try to go faster (without the shake) but as soon as you let off, it starts to shake again...I just got it back from the garage and it is still doing it (they replaced the ignition coil) and said something about the cylinder may or may not come back??? Please help...

the flashing check engine light is indicating a misfire. if you can't get it scanned for codes, start with the obvious, check plugs, wires, and coil packs first.
SOURCE: stalling
does it also stall when u put it drive to if so it might be ur torque convertor not unlucking u can unplug the wiringplug on the transmission see if that helps
SOURCE: Car is messed up someone please help!!!!!!!!!
The first problem sounds like a engine mount has broken. the loud click sound seems like it may be some sort of bearing going or injectors knocking or valves knocking

Well did you say u replaced the engine? Well if thats the case you may have a clogged cat CONVERTOR. to start out, first we need to remove the bolts from the exhaust manafold to the down pipe.try to prop the pipe slightly away (about an inch) from the manafold.(WE ARE REMOVING THE CONVERTOR FROM THE ENGINE IN A SENSE) start the car (it will be loud, and take a short test drive. If the car no longer chuggs, replace the cat CONVERTOR.good luck

There is a big possibility that you have wheels that are not balanced. You should have the wheels check wear, missing wheal weights ect. I think if you get this done it will take care of the problem. Good luck.....

I will do that...Thank you so much : )
I would run a compression check of all cylinders. to see if one is bad. have car scanned to find bad cylinder. if the plugs, wires, fuel filter, and coils are ok, then it has to be something internal in engine.
