If it was the yellow check engine light it means it detected a fault code causing it to come on because of a misfire in the ignition system, take it to auto zone and have them check the codes to see what trouble code it is, you may be getting close to needing a tuneup. It will have stored what is called a soft code. If it happens again then it will have detected another misfire or a malfunction of the 02 sensor. If it starts flashing on and off rapidly then you need to get it to a shop right away before it damages the catalytic converter.
