Gm coolant the pink stuff is notorious for creating blockage severely flush the system use a radiator and coolant system flush product from local parts store, follow directions replace with green coolant. plus youll want to check the intake make sure the gasket hasnt let go have replace two because of coolant blockage major job approx 12 hrs so is expensive, done this on a 2000 alero with 127,000 miles and a 2002 with 60,000 miles. ps the intake gasket usually lets go at the left side youll need a flash light. Hope this helps

I've herd that on high mileage vehicles that the veins of the water pump can actually erode away. Maybe cheap metal or old coolant or wrong coolant.

96 Sunfire overheating after replacing radiator, pump, thermostat

Do you did you take out the rad. or have a shop do it for you. Your problem sounds more like the rad is not the right size for your car. The difference is very slight. The rad for a 4 CYL And the 6 CYL look very much alike. they even interchange with one another. But if your car has the V6 and you are running a 4 cyl. rad you may run hot like this. Now if that is NOT THE CASE, IF THAT IS NOT THE CASE >. You still have air in the rad. Open the drain port a small bit remove the rad cap, start up the engine and let it run till it reaches temp -- tighten the drain port and refill the rad, and the overflow to full. try all that and God Bless.

Engine light comes on, could it be the gas cap?

Hello, Yes you can set a code in your computer if the gas cap is loose. Plus do not fill with gas with the engine running or key on as this will set an evaporative emissions code. Thank you

Over heating prob on 98 bmw 523i se

the problem could also be your radiator cap and you need to make sure that you don,t have an air bubble in the system you also have to have the right amount of anti freeze in it but try the cap first seems so simple but it is a good possibility. hope this helps

240 crank problem

Starter motor or solenoid is going bad or cables are corroded. Clean all cables if car does not crank have someone try to crank it while you "smack" the started motor housing with a hammer or a long solid rod (hitting the rod with the hammer as it rests on starter motor case). Hit it sharply a few times. If it starts, then the starter motor is bad.
