Check suspension light is on - 1997 Ford Expedition

You need to check with dealer to remove fault code for suspension thru 5052 scanner. The system is sending a fault and it eventually ends up in the ECM

Why have you not unplugged the compressor or
removed the fuse?

That whole problem you have is so simple

The most trouble you could possible have is to
get the check light off & a look at a wiring diagram
would resolve that

According to every person I have ever querried about this, you cannot disable the Check Air Suspension light after 1998.

Many times, lights will not turn off until a dealership turns them off. There may not a problem with the suspension anymore, but the light will stay on until the light turns off.

This is most likely caused by an erratic signal to the Air Ride Computer from one of the suspesion height sensors. You will have to scan your Suspension Control Moduleto find out which one.

I would re-install them myself, I liek them better, but you can try to find the air suspension control module. It is usually mounted on the AC/Heater box and it will have a black connector and a gray connector. Unplugging the black connector will turn off the “check air suspension light” but it will also disable your power steering tension (variable assist steering) control on the left side of the steering column. So after you unplug the black connector you need to remove the dark green/light green wire pin from the connector and then reconnect that black connector to the module. That will disable only the check air suspension light. Or to make quick work of it you can just identify that black connector to the module and cut the green wire. And be sure to isolate that wire because the “check air suspension light” will come on if it touches ground.

Sadly, there is no way to turn the light off. I had the air suspension on my Lincoln replaced with the spring kit, and the light is still on. I had a friend take the instrument panel apart and place a small piece of electrical tape over the "check suspension" light. Also, be certain to turn the air suspension pump switch off. It is located in the trunk on the right side.

you have to have air suspension computer scaned to pull codes in order to find problem,if rear is all the way up, it could be a bad rear level sensor it may be no good or the arm from sensor to car frame may have fallen off, hope this helps.

you check the relay for the air suspension, also check to see if you hear air where the air bags are.
