Hi thanks for reply if you are replacing the complete arm and its wiper blade ? then where the bottom of arm fits to w/motor drive spindle it is covered with a plastic cover which lifts and pulls off to reveal the nut and washer that secures arm to spindle ? the spindle is multi splined if you remove nut/washer with gentle pursuasion you can lift arm off splines ?by rocking the arm close to spindle however there is a wiper arm removal tool costs a couple of £s and is easy to use and pulls arm off splines no problem most auto shops sell them in uk or if you look on e bay at garage tools/equipment then you can get cheaper as i have bought two one to lend out to freinds and my own personal one they are good investment ! hope this helps

Hi North West UK and thank you for your response. I did try changing the rubber blades out but then I checked the compatibility on Amazon.com and bought Bosch 4818 Evolution All-Season Bracketless Wiper Blade - 18". I just can't figure out how to get the old arm off. Just trying to avoid a trip to the dealer 30 miles away. Have a good weekend.
hi from uk have come across same problem on honda civics and you are required to replace full wiper ??? however! if it is the actual rubber blade that needs replacing ?? you can do this as i have checking at your local auto store ? they may have actual rubbers/blades or a cheaper wiper blade preferably get one a little longer than the one on your car then lift w/arm up from screen if you look at how rubber is fitted into blade you can pull old rubber out carefully and cut new rubber to same length then fit it into wiper this is one type of fitting however if you see a thin steel blade on each side of rubber? you must pull these out from the bottom of blade these blades hold rubber in place then fit new length of rubber already cut to size ?as above fit new rubber into wiper fully then carefully slide each of the steel blades along side rubber one at a time you will notice there is a notch cut on one end of each of these blades? these notches locate on the top end of wiper (look when you remove them? ) it is easy job especially for nimble fingers ? take you 10 to 15 minutes even less with practice ! cost of this trick is a lot less $$$$s than a complete new wiperand arm assy ? hope this helps and inspires you ? to diy best wishes susan? from north west uk
