The clutch is supposed to transfer the driving force from the engine to the gear box smoothly. When the engine shakes meaning the clutch is not adjusted properly. Need to have the place to do the service re-check since this is a part of the problem from the work has been performed. Good luck.

My 2000 dodge ram feels like it is slipping because when i first put it in gear is does not engage right away if i wait a moment and try it again it shifts in gear and drives fine until i turn truck off...

first is it a stick shift or and auto box.. stick shift will be the clutch. or a part of it best to change the lot in this case clutch and other components in there. you can get a clutch kit with all parts you need. auto it could be the speed sensor or the servo or selector in the auto box. can also be faulty oil in the auto box. or even just to low. you would need to check this.

My Mercedes C200 Komp has started sticking in 2nd or 3rd gear for the first journey of the day only(?) Been advised of a gear box oil leak and told that an Electrol spped plate, filter, oil and plug is...

hi check and clean the MS air flow sensor, also the gear box needs a service every 2 years. now the service technician will tell you major gear box problems but it happened to me aswell and it turns out the valves inside the gear box was sticking to the valve body and causing the gears to stay in a specific gear till it reaches the rev limiter and would change. so after i got the oil and filter changed on my box, it still got stuck but dont worry as thats a common problem with a very easy solution, take the car on a long road and really put your foot down, let the engine and gear box temperature rise from hard driving and the valves should release itself from the body of the box and re-lubricate itself not to get stuck again

Whilst driving, my E280 gear box moved into neutral for about a second or two, and it shifted into the next gear with a strong sudden ****.

seems like faulty transmission, the reason is when you drive the car gears are up shift form 1 to 2 , 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, like that it should be 7 speed auto trans mission in your car, if you mention when which gear up shift the problem occurred I can give more information about what's the fault in transmission, so according to your details it's like two gears are engage together, when two gears are engage same time the transmission control unit understand it's something getting wrong in the transmission according to actual value of gear ratio, then trans mission change the gear to neutral for a second and after that it give the one lower gear than the gear which was stuck and drive fine, this thing might not happen all the time but is the problem verse it can happen all the time, the solution is you must get your car to the Mercedes dealer workshop then they can find what's the wrong inside the transmission before remove it, they have advance diagnose tool for it, then they will repair your transmission, this is the cheapest way, if some one repair your transmission without right understanding regarding what's the exactly fault you will be stuck, may have to be remove again and again,

Hi, I have a Mercedes A170CDi Auto that has gone into limp-mode on the gearbox. I have had a diagnostics check done and it shows a P1841 Current fault code which is a Solenoid Valve Y3/7y2 3 shift fault....

The code is consistent with an electrical short within the shift motor solenoid. These solenoids open and close fluid passageways within the gearbox that cause clutches engage and disengage with the planetary gear system that make up an automatic gear box. Auto boxes are very involved pieces of machinery and best left to experts so I am afraid it needs a trip to the Mercedes dealership or a good auto transmission depot. It could be that the gear box can be easily renovated by fitting a new solenoid in which case an overhaul rather than replacement will be the cheaper option. Since you have the code for the fault I would phone around for repair quotes.
