I would suspect the fuel pump inside the gas tank is defective. Next time it fails to short hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the engine test port in the fuel supply pipe to the fuel injectors. You can buy the tester for about $25.00 on line.
after putting some gas in your tank, step on the gas pedal repeatedly (step to it fully), then while pressing, start your car. the fuel was completely drained from your system thus there are no fuel to burn in able for your car to start.
pressing the gas pedal repeatedly (around 10 times will do) will put some fuel in your combustion chamber, so the car will now have something to burn if you will start the car
Sounds like you have a either a vacuum leak or a cracked fuel line allowing extra air to be sucked into the carb fuel mixture. Make sure all small to medium sized hoses are well attached to their fittings and do not have any cracks in them.
The fuel pump relay will cause a stalling or no start condition. You are likely having mass airflow sensor, fuel pump, or fuel pressure regulator issues.
with little infomation i would say that you need to replace the fuel pump or you shoul start with the fuel filter then if that doesnt help try the fuel pump replacement . see when you push it motor is turning faster than starter motor meaning need less fuel to start it so when you push it motor is winding faster than with starter motor good luck with this project
