My daughters central locking on her 2000 peugeot 206 is working sometimes but unlocks itself again alot /most of the time at times when i try to lock it a ticking/clicking sound comes from the panel below the steering wheel could this be a relay

Yes it is a relay

Is water getting in the central locking relay? sounds like it, remove it dry it...........open it and get the water out if nessesery! then stop the leak or re-locate the relay away from the water!

also can be worn lock in the drivers door or bad door actuator (MASTER)

All quite easy to fix don't worry too much!
