My video system in my ford expedition is gettin no sound

I have a Video system in my vehicle and it's showing the movie but no sound we tried volume and all the buttons in the back of the seats? I've check the guide and it says nothing about the video system? this is a 2001. I'm new to all these features and maybe there is a button that needs to be pushed to bring the sound up. thanks

If you have a telephone function it could be muting the sound system for a telephone call.

Have the same issue with mine. My solution was to take the seat out, real easy. And clean the entire motorized system with some MAF/electronic cleaner. From time to time I still have to play with knob a couple of times. My issue is the knob not motor. Not sure what the noise is. This could be the motor. Ensure you don't have any unknown obstructions blocking the motion.

Check the fuses. All electric circuits have a fuse associated. If can't find or fuse is ok, it might have a fusible link. Get a schematic from a repair manual.

SOURCE: My alarm in my ford expedition keeps going and going

There is a hood open switch on many after market alarms that can cause the condition you speak of.

Also there is a chance that the engine starter solenoid internal contact has failed for the start circuit. You can check this with a healthy screwdriver by shorting from the positive lead to the terminal. (YES It SPARKS!) If the starter engages then the solenoid is fine. If it does not then the the solenoid has failed.

Another thing that can cause what you speak of is the alarm motion sensor.

If you really want it fixed... like NOW go to any auto alarm installation shop, grab an install tech and take him to your driveway.... (with a borrowed car if need be) My bet is he will have you going in less than 15 mins and for a reasonable charge.

Does this have a stock rear entertainment system? You can try putting your stereo to AUX on stock models I believe this is the line in from the dvd player

I own an 05 Expedition with rear park assist. The system appears to be working, minus the actual alert sound. If I back up with the radio on, the radio will automatically lower the volume as normal so the audible "beeps" will be easily heard. There appears to be a TSB regarding the issue I described, the fix is to first replace the speaker that is attached to the module. Cheap enough to try, about $35 bucks. I have no idea where the module/speaker is located.

Fuel pump problem on a 2006 e350 5.4l
What kind of problem ? Suggest you watch this video on ford electronic returnless fuel system . These system have known problems with the fuel pump driver module . Depending on where it is located on the vehicle . Expeditions had them under the vehicle mounted to the frame and they had corrsion problems . Google ford fuel pump driver modules . I have 2006 expedition will not start simble engine shows up on screen
engine symbol ? That's check engine light , OBD 2 - on board diagnostic's 2nd edition ! Has to do with EPA emission standards ! Engine symbol will be on till vehicle starts and run . Now then when you try starting the vehicle is there a little red light in the center top of the insturment panel flashing really fast ? If so that is for the anti-theft system , when there is a problem with the theft system the computers on the vehicle will not let the engine crank .

Dvd player ford expedition
It is not DVD problem but I think you have to change the display screen which might be damage. You have to go to reputable service centre and change screen to enjoy a movie while travelling.

Is this a factory radio? First check alll of the fuses, fuse links inside and under the hood. There could be a couple of possible issues. When you hook up the cables wrong you ultimately send power to the ground circuits and ground to the power circuits. There are lots of modules in most vehicles and they are succepable to voltage spikes. There is a common industry term called "letting the magic smoke out" when this happens. If your vehicle has a body control module, it could have been damaged, the radio itself could also be a module and have been damaged. There could also be an amplifier that may have shorted out, this would explain the radio powering up but no sound. If you can get a wiring schematic and pull the radio you can check the inputs (power,gnd ,etc). If you had done this on a Nissan we would'nt be having this conversation, Nissan installs a safety relay on their vehicles that is wired in backwards and is only energized if the cables are reversed, this relay disconnects all of the sensative equipment/modules so they are'nt harmed once it is energized. I would'nt go out and buy one just for this feature, just food for thought.
