Check Engine, Slip indicator and VSC light all on and random multiple cylinder misfires. All 6 cylinders are affected. Does anyone know what this could be?? It's a 2006 Toyota RAV4 3.5L V6.
You need a scanner to pull out the engine light codes.
Use a shopu manual to aid you with the diagnosis and repair.
The slip indicator and vsc light being on means these systems are not working. Once you pull the codes and do the repair and erase the codes the lights will go off.
There will be a code in there for the misfiring.

I just had all 6 cylinders misfire and the check engine, VSC and 4 Wheel Drive lights come one. This happened while I was driving on the highway. The car started shimmying quite badly at 50 MPH. It is a 2006 RAV4. The folks who do the work on my vehicle have never seen this happen before and could not find anything in the manuals addressing this problem. They used the scanner to turn the lights off.
