It won't start? Will it crank with the starter but, won't start, or it won't even crank or turn with the starter. In either case, unless you got the engine shut down with in a few seconds, it's probable junk. Is it a Diesel? If it's a diesel they require oil pressure from the "high pressure pump" to fire the injectors. There's a reservoir for the "high pressure pump" on to of the engine in the very front. There's a plug with a "allen head" on it take that plug out and pour engine oil in the reservoir. You can fill it right up. If you need an engine got; car-parts.com, check the salvage yards in area for a used engine.

You ran the truck out of oil? If so then you have seized the engine up and it wont start again. If your lucky the engine could be rebuilt using the same block but the internals will all need to be replaced.

2002 pontiac gran am son was driving it ran hot I put in coolent and check oil no oil put in oil tried to start it car will turn over but will not start getting gas heard the fuel pump

check oil to see if there is rad fluid in it. if there is you have a cracked head or head gasket. if no rad fluid in oil, check for a spark.pull out a spark plug attach spark plug wire hold close to engine block with gloves and turn over engine. it is best to have someone with mechanical know how to do this,i.e. friend or nieghbor

We think it is the diesel injection pump but not sure

Sounds like not all the glow plugs are working. It should run fairly smooth on a cold start if all of the glow plugs are working..Also you shouldn't drive off on a cold start with a diesel,Its really hard on the motors..At least give them 10 to 15 min on a cold start..The oil in them is a really thick oil and when there drove on a cold start theres no oil lubricating the internal parts and will cause the motor to seize up..You may already no this and dont mean you drive it as soon as you start it i just wanted to let you know..When you get alot of white smoke it could be two things,Theres water in the fuel which will make it not have much power die and smoke..But if it runs fine when its warm theres some bad glow plugs...Hope this helps you and have a great day

Changed glow plug relay in sunny florida still can start

sounds like you have no compression amego 7.3 do that but check the glow plugs with an ohm meter, if the glow plugs to shine it won't run, and whil your at it check your oil level if it's high your fuel pump just craped out.

Oil drain out and now have no power

it is likely that when the oil drained with the motor running all moving parts within the engine started to wear rapidily this could have caused pistons or worse to seize. you will prob need a rebuild or new engine

2001 ford f250

Do you have access to an amp clamp to check amps going to the glow plugs. Remove the oil temp sender which is on the back of the hi psi oil pump reservior 2 wires. This will make the relay run longer. Then hook clamp over the 2 brown wires on glowplug relay should have about 175 amps if its working right. I have also seen the fuel heater inside the fuel filter housing go bad as well. Might check all the fuses as well incase the fuel heater fuse is blown.
