Changed the battery on our chrysler grand voyager radio locked!

Changed the battery on our chrysler grand voyager yesterday then proceeded to input the incorrect stereo code too many times the stereo now states locked and will not accept anymore codes, we have found the correct code but cannot input it, does anyone know how to get the stereo back to accepting codes again? Its the standard chrysler system thats on the 53 plate voyager, many thanks

Try to unhook the battery again for a minute or two..might help. then try the code again after hooking up battery again.

Leave the power on for 30mins and the lock will turn of
then enter the code

it should be in your manual or service book you enter the 4 digits into radio buttons mine is grand voyager i use cd button numbers enter 4 digit code the radio should them come on if you dont have manual ring chrysler might be able to get code off your vin

The only one that can unlock these types of security items is the dealer. Now if you are able to put a after market radio in that should fix your problem.

well if transmission fluid level okay.transmission fluid has been changed every 30000 miles.your reverse servo or reverse band worn out.you could have internal damage to pinions, internal gear , sun gear,damage input carrier and reaction carrier.

Just got a used chrysler
A Common place for the code is normally in the glove box or behind the radio itself, which probably means removing the radio, sometimes you can pop your head under the dash with a mirror and light though.
If you enter the code wrong a few times and it won't allow you to reenter the code, you can disconnect the Negative battery cable for a few minutes and it should let you retry.
