KIA SPORTAGE TIMING BELTS?

hi well this does sound strange, i myself have not heard of a modern belt needing to be adjusted, as they have automatic adjusting pulleys, which as you say either work or don't, i know some vehicles have an alignment on the tensioner pulley, but that shouldn't have an effect on the actual tension of the belt, i might be barking up the wrong tree here, i know a long time back, fords used to have a tensioner that could be tightened as the belt stretched, to this was only on the serpentine belt and not the timing belt, i think they are wrong..my opinion..hope this helps

Missfiring will not run changed plugs changed fuel filter changed pigtail on 2002 sportage still wont run

take a plug wire off and use a pair of pliers with rubber handles to hold the wire.hold the wire next to the plug and have someone crank over the engine.(make sure none of your loose clothing is close to anything that turns.)and if you dont see a spark then it is either your timming belt or your rotor cap.
