The firing order for a 4.1 V-8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odd number pistons are on the driver's side, front to back and even numbers on the passenger's side front to back. The distributor turns counter-clockwise (backwards) and #1 piston is at 1 o'clock (close to the firewall). Hope this helps.

It could be several things. 1. Fan relay, as this controls power to the fan. 2.Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, usually both located in the fuse panel 3. Thermostat that tells the fan relay to start based on heat at the radiator.
Each of these need to be verified as working properly prior to any additional troubleshooting.
a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure sort of a special tool a fuel filter may cause something along these line of symptoms but it would be at any fuel level for the filter. The only way to really know is the pressure when it happens
