I have a 1997 Dodge Caravan. When I bought it it had a couple of issues but got it fixed and have had no big problems since. I took it to get inspected and it failed because the check engine light wont come on at all. I am told for emissions or something it has to turn on and off along with all the other lights on the dash. All other lights work fine. Took dash apart and see there is NO bulb where the check engine light should be. Logically I bought the bulb, replaced it, turned van on and light still wont come on.
Can someone help me out here? Is there a step Im missing? Is this a bigger problem? Thanks in advance.
The check engine light comes on to let you know there is an issue with a sensor, a system or a part that the computer controls.
