  • Anonymous Mar 04, 2010

i try bleeding but this car have 3 radiator plus the radiator inside the car for heat the air and i dont see any good yet, i take a small pipe attached to the reservoir tank but no luck yet......and i have another issue....i need to find the way to put transmision oil and i have no idea were is the plug to filled.....i go to the dealer and they want to charge $150 only to do that....plus each quart is $22 and i need like 7 or 8 quart according to the dealer.
and they tell me that the dealer use a special computer to fill the trasmision because the fluid need to be heat 80 degrees if not the transmision can be damage...i dont know if this true or they only want the money....i guest if the car is cool the fluid is cool too....so i dont see any diferent to fill the transmision not heating the fluid.....any comment about this can be helpful.....thanks guys!

To start the car only has one radiator for coolant. The fluid for your transmission is not normal fluid. You have no business owning an Audi if you cant afford repairs because they are not cheap. If you want a cheap car buy a honda.

My 2001 a6 2.7l twin turbo is overheating even try to run heater but now blows cold air only. What could it be, thermostat, or clogged radiator, or water pump? Please let me know what you think!!!

The thermostat would not stop the heaters from getting hot . Is flush out the heater matrix make sure water flows nice and free . But I would be looking at the water pump and at the same time flush main radiator and heater matrix at the same time. The thermostat stuck shut will cause it to overheat but not stop the heat out of the blowers.

2002 audi a4 overheats

-Flash the whole system with garden water from both direction.
-Check radiator's fin. If it clog , blow it out with air nozzle or best use pressure washer. But careful not to damage the fin. (Do not aim or point at angle and too close)
You should be good to go.

Engine overheats and heater blowing cold air

You have air trapped in system , change thermostat , bleed air from system , let it run hot while adding coolant with blower full blast on all front and rear heaters .

I put a new thermostat in my 1994 ford escort, and still dont have warm heat while my heater is on. How do I test to see if I have a bad waterpump?

If it where your water pump isthe vehicle would overheat. After you replaced the thermostat do you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap removed until the radiator fan came one? This will help push the air out of the system. There are two other possibilities. 1. The heater core is plugged. Back flushing the heater core may help remove the built up debris and get you heat again. 2. The blend door may not be fully transitioning from cold to hot. You should be ale to hear a district change in how the air sounds when switching from full hot to full cold. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Car is still over heating, have replaced heat sensor switch, fuel sensor switch, fuel air sensor and flushed the radiator.

Have you changed out the thermostat and checked for exhaust blow by from a head gasket leak? One quick way to check for blow by would be if you start the car with the cap off on the radiator and see if antifreeze begins to rise up in the radiator before the engine warms up. Exhaust leaking into the water jacket will bubble up through the radiator. This hot exhaust gas will cause you to overheat. A stuck thermostat will keep the antifreeze from ever reaching the radiator to cool down also causing you to overheat.

Heater will not blow warm air, only blows cool air even when the engine is warmed up

Sounds like the thermostat is jammed, I would replace it anyhow for how much it will cost, or possibly the heater matrix, thats the small radiator inside the car behind the dash that takes the hot water in and the fan then blows the heat through the vents, this may be blocked doubtful though more likely the thermostat be careful driving the car in case it overheats and blows the gasket.

It could just be air locked, meaning if you have topped the water up lately or put anti freeze in it it has pulled some air in the water system, much like your house heating you will have to bleed it.

Would the heater control valve malfunctioning make the engine overheat blowing hot air out the heater one moment, then not blowing the hot air, temp gage spikes 225 plus. The motor takes awhile to heat up...

Heater control valve malfunction will not cause engine to overheat unless coolant is leaking externally...Overheating going down the road can be the result of a few different things...Partly clogged radiator...Insufficient air flow due to possible fan problem...External coolant leak...Make sure fans are operting properly and have cooling system pressure tested for leaks...Gaining and losing heat on the inside of the vehicle usually means system is low on coolant but you must find out where coolant is going

3 liter mazda mpv overheating

You probably never cleaned the cooling system out.

If you have not get it done by pros.

It seems something is blocking the flow. If the water pump went bad you will know. Rarely ever heard a impeller breaks off like you think. The bearings and the seal break first.

Check and see also if the heater valve is working.

As for the over heating even new thermostats fail. Reverse flush is needed or the procan measure the pressure in the radiator cooling system and edetermine if there is a engine pressure problem. Tools and experience is the key in the game of diagnosis.

1985 cadillac fleetwood V8 4.1 blows cold air out but no heat

if you had heat before the problem than there is probably air still in the system . dont know your motor set-up , but it might have a bleed valve on the thermostat housing or a bypass line . if not , start the car and let it warm up ......in the mean time take the upper radiator hose off @ the radiator . When it heats up to normal temp , the coolant should flow out of the hose . that will tell you that the thermostat is opening , and it will also get the air out of the system @ the same time . As soon as it starts to flow , hook the hose back up and tighten . refill the cooling system back to the full line , than check for heat
GM is bad about getting air trapped in the system .
