I ve run into this problem a few times, with no cler results,i checked all wiring from computer to switch and all check out fine i also replaced switch and a month later same code, this one ended up with a bad pcm, another one had a bad wiring for overdrive switch, this was not an easy repair to diagnose.i think you should have amazda dealer look at it.
my dad has an 207 suzuki forenza and it pulled up a code po700 and po705. well it refers to the trans. range sensor, so i replaced it and that did'nt fix it. well with a little hunting there is a plastic cover on the side of the center console, pop it off and there is an adjustment on the shifter, use a 10mm socket break it loose and adjust the shifter from there, hope this will help someone else and save you some cash
